January 2020: Rethinking Modern Greek Studies in the 21st Century: A Cultural Analysis Network

In the last days of January 2020, Oxford University hosted the opening event of the new international partnership between the Universities of Amsterdam and Oxford under the title “Rethinking Modern Greek Studies in the 21st Century: A Cultural Analysis Network.”
More info about this network can be found here:
Several participants in this first conference from Amsterdam, Oxford, and elsewhere have now contributed blogposts on their presentations and their ongoing research, which have been posted on the network’s blog. This is fascinating new work in Modern Greek literary, cultural, and social studies, and this partnership offers a platform for its initial sharing.
Among the blogposts, two overall reflections on this first event, by:
– Kristina Gedgaudaite (from Oxford University and former Marilena Laskaridis fellow at the University of Amsterdam) and
– Eveline Mineur, recent graduate from the Modern Greek studies dept. and the Literary and Cultural Analysis dept. in Amsterdam.
